One of the favourite recipes for all the vegetarian lovers is palak paneer, which looks very colourful. some People expects nothing but they want to have the best at their food time. Palak paneer is one of the recipe which would be the best choice during lunch/dinner time. Below is the easy procedure to make North Indian Vegetarian Curry- Palak Paneer Recipe at home.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 250 gms Paneer-cut into 1" cubes
  • 1 Bundle (600gm) Spinach
  • 3-4 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • Small piece of Ginger
  • 4-5 Flakes of garlic
  • 2 - Onions chopped into small pieces
  • 1-2 Green Chillies - Chopped
  • 2 tsp coriander powder (Dhania Powder)
  • 1/2 tbsp garam masala
  • 2 tomatoes-Chopped
  • 2 tbsp dry fenugreek leaves (Kasoori methi)
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
 

Steps To Prepare Palak Paneer :

1. In a pressure Cooker Add 2 tsp of oil ,let oil heat for some time then start adding the following ingredients one by one Jeera, ginger, garlic, onions, green chillies and fry them till onions got cooked well.
2. Now add dhania powder and garam masala powder fry for 2 mins add chopped tomatoes and kasoori methi to the above prepared mixture and fry well.
3. Mix well till tomatoes get softened. After tomatoes got cooked well add spinach leaves after 5-6 mins mix well and then add 1/4 cup water and pressurize for 1-2 whistles.
4. Off the stove and cool the spinach mixture and after that add 1/4 cup of water to it and make it as fine paste.
5. Take a pan, transfer the spinach puree and 1 tbsp of butter to it mix well now add red chilli powder, paneer cubes, salt as required,1/4 tspn sugar,1/4 cup milk,1/4 cup water.
6. Cook well till all the above mixture consistency get little tightened, leave the mixture approximately 10-15 mins in low sim and then off the stove .
7. Serve hot with Rotis or Rice and enjoy the real taste.

Tips:
  • Before adding paneer cubes soak them for 2 mins in mild warm water so that it would turn very soft.
  • After whole preparation add some creame as topping before eating to give rich flavour.
  • Add little amount of salt to onions so that they gets cooked fast .
